Whilst singing the praises of the Overseas Chinese located in San Marino complex I am reminded by one reader of this site that there are other very acceptable Oriental eating houses in Tenerife.
This of course is true!
There is a full range of Slow Boat restaurants, I think we are up to number five now, offering exquisite Chinese and Thai food. The one in Los Cristianos for example, located above Chicago's and opposite Danny Bar has panoramic sea views and with a full children's menu available that might attract many families. They are open from midday until midnight!
The Hong Kong Golden Palace is also open 12 hours a day and can be found at cc Lagos de Fanabe.
Slow Boat 3 has recently been refurbished and has a private function area for parties which might appeal to people travelling in a large group. Finest Chinese food, warm authentic atmosphere (isn't it always in Tenerife) and excellent service. Slow Boat 3 is ideally located for people staying in Castle Harbour, Colina Park, Beverley Hills, Paradise Park or Royal Palm. What your travel agent won't have told you is that the local call this "cardiac hill". Don't stay in this area if you have any difficulty walking at all or you will need a taxi.
The Hong Kong Happy Court is located in Playa de Las Americas between the Noelia Hotel and the Coral Beach Hotel. This one is open until 1.30am and they will deliver if you get the late night munchies.
It is true that on almost every corner in Tenerife you will find a bar - and literally hundreds of restaurants - especially Chinese. If you find a good one please let me know! Chow! |
