I tend to forget when I go back to Tenerife that there are some people who want to get out and about. It's easy to get about by taxi, there are loads - mainly white in colour with smartly dressed drivers. 99% are honest hardworking lads who won't rip you off and if you are lucky you will get one of the few English drivers working the cars.
Car Hire: I use Sanasty car hire a British run company whose motto is service, security and satisfaction. They are located in Cristian Sur complexe, Los Cristianos and will leave your car at the airport or pick you up. If you are thinking of living on the island whether it be for good or just wintering there in the warm sunshine them insurance is important. Select insurance services looked after me. On the subject of insurance if you are going to Tenerife remember to take adequate holiday insurance, your E11 form obtainable from the post office before you go and if you take my advice a couple of photocopies of the main page.
