There is one on every corner
 | Bars on Tenerife are literally on every corner with something to suit everyone. Whether you are looking for the equivalent of your local back home or a themed pub or even a typical Spanish bar, Tenerife has a lot to offer. Of course I have my favourites but here goes.
I have already mentioned El Cine under the eating guide but it is worth a stop there for a beer provided of course they are not too busy with people enjoying the excellent food.
Goodfellas bar opposite the Fountain on the new beach is another one of my favourite pit stops. Here Alec or Danny with chew the fat about the ups and downs of being a Manchester City fan. The food falls into the "good pub grub" and the Sunday lunch deserves a mention. This is good food at silly prices.
Danny's Bar in Los Cristianos is also noted for its Sunday lunch and of course live football. You may see Rod Stewart here one night and of course any other famous people who pop in to the bar from time to time, Nigel Benn for example.
I should have really started with breakfast and my favourite whether it is for scrambbled egg on toast or a full belly busting breakfast is Desperate Dan's opposite the Sunday morning market site in Los Cristianos. The food is good, coffee pipping hot and the service pleasant and efficient. Always enjoy Desperate Dan's.
If you happen to be staying on Victoria Court 2 then the bar near the pool is very good. Salvador keeps a good inn and the food is more than acceptable. If you have one too many Dorada well you don't have far to go home either!
So that's usually my day time pit stops. You will need to look at the page entitled The Patch to see what's on in that particular part of the island or the one entitled Wigan Pier and more!
Wherever you have your pit stop have a great time and email me when you have found your favourite watering hole! |
