Anchor Aid
Anchor aid is a registered charity no.700379, based and operating from the Anchor Inn, Belmangate, Guisborough, Cleveland.
Anchor Aid, as a charity, was formed 15 years ago by a group of friends in the Anchor Inn public house, the pub was approached and asked for a donation to a local cause, the group of friends decided to help raise some money and where very successful! They also enjoyed the fundraising task and decided they would like to support local causes on a regular basis. The requests for help started to increase and as a direct result Anchor Aid was born, Anchor aid is a registered charity and now raises money for various good causes in the local area.
Monies are raised from various sources including regular raffles, barn dances, karaoke and race nights, boxing day dips, charity auctions, weakest link quiz, the yearly Belmangate festival, and much more!
Without the help and dedication of such a select group of individuals none of our causes would benefit at all. Total donations from Anchor Aid run into many thousands of pounds, all going to local good causes.
If you would like to help and support the local community in any way, please in the first instance contact Adrian Horner (chairman) c/o The Anchor Inn, Belmangate, Guisborough, Cleveland. TS14 7AB, or telephone 01287 632715.

In 1998 we relocated from our local Sports Centre to perhaps the most unusual fencing venue in the UK. " The Dome " sports facility within the Boulby Potash Mine complex, on the beautiful coast of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. It is an excellent venue and well worth a visit. Finding us is just part of the fun!
We fence on a Thursday Evening from 7.30 pm. - 9.30 pm.

Guisborough Model Flying Club
 | GMFC is located between Dunsdale village and Guisborough Town and is easily accessible from the main road. The site has excellent facilities such as a club house, BBQ and wheel chair access to the field disabled members.
The club field is a mixed site and caters for both fixed and rotary wing models. Basically if it has wings or blades and conforms to BMFA and CAA regulations you can fly it here.
