WHO ARE HARROGATE GILBERT AND SULLIVAN SOCIETY?
A warm welcome to all those visitors of the official Harrogate Gilbert and Sullivan Society Website.
Formed in 1972, our Society is committed to the works of Sir W S Gilbert and Sir Arthur Sullivan in order to foster public knowledge and appreciation of such works by means of public perfomance.
We are a charitable organisation and are affliated to NODA - for those who are not familiar with this (National Operatic and Dramatic Association).
Our annual production is held at the Harrogate Theatre, Harrogate, North Yorkshire in May and we hold a two performance concert in conjunction with the famous Brighouse and Rastrick Band at Christmas at the International Centre,Kings Road, Harrogate.
As well as the above, when we are not in mid rehearsals, we hold Club Nights. More about Club Nights later.
We always welcome new members and patrons. You don't necessarily have to live in the town to be a member or patron (in fact two of our patrons are from the States).
