About Harrogate Agility Training Society
North Yorkshire's Premier Agility Training Society
HATS was founded in 1988 and is now recognised by the Kennel Club. Dogs of all abilities (and breeds)are welcome. Mini dogs (dogs below 15 inch at the withers) are also welcome.
Many of our members train to competition standard and are achieving some success at regional and national level.
Dog agility training sessions are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings indoors on a soft, safe surface. In spring & Summer we also train outdoors whenever possible.
Pre-beginners, Beginners, and dogs that can do full height jumps are trained in separate groups.
We would hope that the new members' dogs have attended obedience classes or that the handler can show a reasonable amount of control over their dogs.
Dogs must be over 12 months old before they can train for agility they must also be fit as must the handler. If you are in any doubt ask your vet or doctors advice. We will only allow your dog over the higher jumps when we think he is fit enough to do so.
Why not visit our main website for more information, or come along to one of our regular training sessions, have a cup of coffee and watch the dogs in action. |
