About Hearing Concern in the North East

Welcome to Hearing-Concern North-east.

This is a brief outline of our activities in the region.

We currently have 4 Hearing-Concern Advice Centre's operating. From the 4th of October 2002, you can find us at the Trinity Centre, opposite Woolworth's on Gateshead High Street, every Tuesday from 1-4 pm, and every Friday rom 9.30-12.30 pm. Our Advisers will be on hand to offer, Hearing Aid Battery Replacement, Earmould Retubing, Advice and Demonstration of Assistive Listening Devices, as well as information and support for people with problems such as Tinnitus and Menieres Disease.

All of our services are free and confidential.

Our other Advice Centres can be found at; Abbey Day Centre, Pity Me, Durham, Second Tuesday each month from 1-4 pm.

Stanley Day Centre, Wear Road, Stanley, 3rd Wednesday each month,1-4 pm. and Spennymoor Day Centre, Barnfield Road, Spennymoor, 1st Thursday each month, 1-3.30 pm.

We also have a network of volunteers who we have trained to become Hearing Concern Advisers.Our Advisers provide a network of support and information for anyone who is hearing impaired.We can arrange a home visit if any hearing impaired people have difficulties in attending their local Hearing Aid Department.

Again, all of our services are free and confidential.
