The End of an Era

A well known local factory, Ramars, where for many years local people, mainly women and young ladies, found employment, has finally come to an end. Demolition has been in full swing and now nothing remains except memories and stories to tell.

The Factory finally Bites the Dust

The well known facade of this former clothing factory has finally disappeared. On 3rd March 2006 contractors demolished the frontage of the factory.

The Site is Now Cleared

The site has now been cleared, making way for new housing development named 'Weavers Croft'.
