Church Project comes to an end

In recognition of St Mary's Church's 138 years service to Howden, Fir Tree and surrounding area, volunteers from the History Society and former Church Members produced a Commemorative Banner and Book.
These were presented to the public at an Exhibition and Book launch at 7-30 pm on Tuesday, 30th. September in Howden Community Centre. Light refreshments were available and anyone interested invited to attend.
The event was a great success, the banner - worked in traditional 'proddy mat' fashion was much admired and the limited supply of Commemmorative Booklets soon sold out. To satisfy the unexpected demand and by popular request, more copies will be printed ASAP.
