2007 PRODUCTION
 | Was The Gondoliers, which was staged at Heighington Village Hall on 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th September 2007 at 7.30 p.m.
We had a very successful show, playing to almost full houses on Wednesday and Thursdy, and to full houses on Friday and Saturday. This year's show was hit, at the eleventh hour by illness problems. Mary Wheeler, playing Fiametta, had to go down to Hereford for the duration of the show, because her mother was seriously ill. Heighington does not have understudies, but we thank Felicity Jameson for stepping in at the eleventh hour and playing this part - Felicity is a new member of the Group and this was her first time doing anything of this sort, and she proved herself to be a true trouper. On top of that, one of our leading ladies - Wendy Church, playing Gianetta -was taken ill with a severe virus which affected her throat, and was told by her Doctor that she must not sing! Despite all of this, we feel we managed to stage a creditable production and we extend our thanks to all those who came to see us. |
