Welcome to Heighington Village Hall
East Green, Heighington, Newton Aycliffe, Co Durham, DL5 6RA.
The Village Hall stands proudly in the centre of the picturesque village of Heighington next to the church and overlooking the green.
Once the hall was the Village School but in the 1960s, when the new school opened,it became the centre of village life.
An extension was added in 1974 with money raised by the village.
Disabled facilities were later installed in time for the Millennium, namely a disabled toilet next to the front entrance and a long ramp and rails leading down from the front entrance to the new hall.
The halls are available for many different groups as you will see in our "Regular Users" section, but also for Weddings, Discos, Ceilidhs, Fairs and Jumble Sales.
We hold a Public Entertainments Licence, but are NOT licenced for a bar - each function has to get its own Licence for this.
The total capacity of the building is 250 people. We also have crockery and cutlery for 100 place settings.
