What the Members Say About the Service
Members regularly send cards and thankyou’s to express their joy at being online. Here are some examples:-
“Thank you for your time and expertise in setting up our CommuniGate site..I have to admit we have been delaying the challenge of establishing a site because of lack of knowledge. You made it all very easy. We are delighted with our site and look forward to adding to the pages…on behalf of the forum and everyone who we hope will benefit a most sincere, thank you.”
Anne Cowie from Wear Valley Disability Forum.
“Dear Mr Hutton,
May I thank you and the Communigate Team for providing an excellent service for local communities to promote their groups and societies on the internet.
Since I launched our church website in august 2002 we've had nearly 500 hits. Late last year, the website was accessed in Australia from a lady researching her family history. She traced that her grandparents were married at St Paul's Spennymoor in 1901 and was hoping to track down any relatives still in Spennymoor. After publishing her request on our parish newsletter we managed to find some of her relatives and put them in contact with the lady in Australia.
It's fantastic to know that Communigate websites are being accessed from right across the world and in some cases helping to re-unite long lost families!”
Christopher Luke, Press & Publications Officer, St. Pauls Spennymoor.
“Alison helped me beyond all degrees of reasonableness. I cannot speak too highly of her ability and cheerful disposition, she exudes confidence to the point that I now feel it and make a point of mentioning CommuniGate and our website to someone, somewhere, daily.”
Derek Slasor from the British Korean War Veterans Association, in a letter to the Northern Echo’s Managing Director, David Kelly.
“Thank you for all the help you have given me in creating my website (14thdarloscouts). You have helped me with the slightest problem I have had and sorted it out in no time. Without you, the site I have created wouldn’t be as good as it is now. I am now really confident with building web pages, and am doing an evening class.”
Andrew Giles, 14th Darlington Scouts.
“I am learning fast now you have given me inspiration. I really enjoyed our tutorial on Monday morning and feel that we had a successful exercise. Thanks for the IT lesson, I never knew there was so much you could do with email and search engines.
I advised the group at a meeting last night about the new website and told them in detail about all the work you put in for us. They thought it was brilliant when I showed them how we are now ‘global’. It has given me the inspiration to explore the ‘net a bit further.”
Alan Beattie, Knights of the Black Phoenix.
“Can I just thank you for your site and comment that it is really easy to use. I just went in to add another story about our Dinner dance, and it was easy to understand and edit my pages. Thanks for making the site so user friendly.”
Norma Phillips, Hon. Secretary, Teesside Operatic Society.
“..thanks again for Thursday night, it was superb, it really was, I’m truly chuffed with how it went and had no idea after 2 hours I would be able to do so much, so a big cheers for that. I look to add greatly to the site soon, just waiting on more official info to publish, in the mean time, I hope to practice a little to improve my familiarity with it.
I will certainly recommend it to anyone I think might benefit from it, I have already told a lot of people about your service, and indeed, spoke to people who have already had the pleasure!”
Nigel Bland, Bedale Junior FC.
