Aims and objectives of our Club

We are a self funding group and are very disappointed that no funding is offered to us. We are in the West Ward of Newton Aycliffe which is a deprived area and which is supposed to have all different funding initiatives available The Childrens Fund will not put any money into our club and in fact the Childrens Fund withdrew the Funding of our Disco on the pretence that it was a waste of money We now have 150 children attend this Disco every Friday night. We include excluded children. All the Supervisors are CRB checked, we have a Child Protection Policy and
Equal Opportunities Policy in place. Patsi Fullen who is the Project Manager decided to withdraw our funding. We suggest that some of the Children Fund Directors visit our Disco and see all the children enjoying themselves.
We see that all the different areas in the North East receive Childrens Fund money , Have help etc. So why can our club not receive any.
The Aims and Objectives and Targets of our Happy Times Club
Enable all children to take part in activities
Reduce Truancy and exclusion from School
Reduce Youth Crime and Reconvictions.
Improvements in social care and health associated measures.
More use of existing services by commonly excluded groups.
More involvement of users, children, young people and local adults in service delivery.
