 | Kirkwhelpington is a small village in Mid-Northumberland with 76 houses, a church, village hall, art centre, a Girl Guide Holiday Centre and a Post Office.

St. Bartholomew's Church
 | | St. Bartholomew's Church was built in the 13th century, probably with an earlier church on the site. Services are held on Sunday mornings.There is a resident vicar in this parish who covers the parishes of Kirkheaton, Cambo, and Kirkharle. |

Memorial Hall
The Memorial Hall is the heart of the district as most of the activities take effect there. It was built in 1924 as a memorial to the men of the village and district who gave their lives in the First World War. Money for this was raised locally with the Dukeof Northumberland donating the land.
The Post Office is now in the hall and the weekly activities are a Youth Club, Toddler Group, a Computer Group and a Bowls Club with a Slimming Group once a fortnight. The meetings monthly are the Parish Council, The Royal British Legion Women's Section and an Art Club. The Hall is also used for parties and wedding receptions.

Garden Open Day
On one of the Sunday's during July six or seven gardens are open to the public in aid of charity.
Teas are in the village hall. |
Kirkwhelpington Show
The Kirkwhelpington and District Show is held on the first Saturday in September every year.
This is an exhibition of horticultural and craft work with home baking and children's exhibits.

The Art Centre
The Art Centre was originally the Methodist Church built in 1870 and closed in 1995/96. This was bought by a villager and used for exhibitions of paintings and other art work, Art classes are also held from time to time with tutors. |
The Girl Guide Holiday Centre
The Girl Guide Holiday centre was originally the village school which was built in 1858 and closed in 1972. Northumberland County Council Education Committee went comprehensive and the age group dropped to 9 years at primary schools. This is used regularly throughout the year for weekends and longer breaks during school holidays for brownies and guides. Thereis room for 18 children and 3 adults. |
