Kathy Mark (nee Mochnacz) & Alison Small (nee Thomas)

On Saturday 24th June 2006 a 'Snowdon' (Durham Snowdons) reunion was held in 'The Lingdale Workingmens Club' in Lingdale.

Over 70 people attended, ages rangeing from 1 to 80 years old.

This date was chosen as it was the nearest day to John Snowdons birth date, 22 June (1843), the owner of the Lingdale Hotel or Tavern.

People travelled from all over the country to be there, and it was a very well organised day, plenty of photographs and information to look at and share, along with a family tree which was available for people to update and add to.
Everyone helped with the refreshments and buffet.
(you know who you are, Thank you very much)

More importantly stories that were passed down generation after generation were told and swapped giving everyone just that little bit more knowledge of the man and his family who brought them together on this day.
