Safety Barriers A Hazard???

The widening of the pavement and the installation of safety barriers in a government led initiative to safeguard school children, may not be such a good initiative when the barriers have been demolished twice within 4 weeks of installation.
Although Linthorpe Community Council asked for a meeting to discuss the design the council went ahead without further consultation.
The result can be seen in the photographs.
A letter and photographs were sent to Mayor Ray Mallon asking for his immediate intervention before a fatality occurs.
