Arlington Street, Loftus
 | The gentleman in the foreground of this postcard of Arlington Street is the relieveing officer 'Kind George' who with his bag of money, doled out parish relief. A road sweeper is busy in the street gutter, he hauls a barrow along with him. The billboard which was on the corner of Springhead Terrace has long gone. The telegraph pole jutting out onto the road was the cause of many accidents.

Loftus Market place
 | Loftus Market place c.1900 with Mr Sayer's grocery shop on the ground floor of Zachary Moore's old hall. The front door and stairs which led to Mr Sayer's living accommodation were next to the bank. Next door, and still part of the old hall, was a barbers shop on the ground floor with rooms above which were used by Mr Sayer for making jam and weighing and packaging goods. Mr Sayer eventually bought the barbers to enlarge his shop. Zachary Moore's sundial is still in place on the front of the hall.

Mr Dyson Nutt
 | Mr Dyson Nutt the auctioneer in Loftus Market Place c.1918. There are flags and balloons hanging from the windows of the White Horse and many people in the road, but the small dog in the foreground steals the picture. Mr Nutt lived in the house with pillars next to the Catholic Presbytery.

The Market Place
 | The Market Place, Loftus c. 1950 with Parrots ironmongers where the Post Office is today. There is a flagpole over the bank and Zachary Moore's house with Sayer's shop below had almost disappeared. The sundial from the old house is on the new frontage.
