Above. Dennis Creighton I am unable to produce any photographs of our wonderful afternoon at Crosby near Maryport in Cumberland as I lost my camera. Five members of NBS travelled the goodly distance to Crosby, Linda Heighton,Don Rowell, Ron Fairhurst,Colin Wright and the fool who lost his camera, Bruce Ross. It was a great afternoon the weather was beautiful and there were a good number of birds entered, which was rewarding for Dennis Creighton who is working so hard to make the society a success.I wish we had a few more like him.I know he gets a lot of help at home from his mother. Mr & Mrs Jim Huddart still work very hard and it was great to have a cup of tea and eats from Mrs Huddart when we arrived.After over 50 years of marriage they are still a wonderful team! The birds were judged and I have to say were of a very high standard. Our 'old' friend Barry Shutt took top honours with a couple of crackers. Dennis Creighton won with a super blue young bird. As I have said, it was a great afternoon and we enjoyed ourselves immensely, meeting old friends again and I hope the members of West Cumbria give their full backing and help to Dennis who is trying his hardest to keep the society going succesfully.
