The old partnership of Mewse and Parker
 | Dave Mewse and Ken Parker judging.
Dave Mewse and Ken Parker were partners and went out of the hobby some 20 years ago due to work commitments. It was a sad day for them and the hobby as they were fully committed to the hobby.Ken was President of the NBS in 1986 and Dave the following year 1987. They took hundreds of photographs and gave many slide shows and talks to local societies.
I contacted Ken and asked if he would allow me to use some of his slides, and typical Ken, could not do enough for me. He laboriously transferred slides onto a disc so that I could download them onto the web site. It took him about 3 days and he refused anything for doing this hard task.He just laughed and said he hoped the members would enjoy some reminders of the past.
I can only thank him sincerley, as I have taken so much enjoyment seeing some of the old photographs and bringing back so much nostalgia.
I hope when you look at the photos you can let me know of any names that have been omitted. |
