We had to move our annual open show to October due to the move of the Club Show.Numbers were a little down but everyone who came along enjoyed themselves and there were some cracking good birds on view.
Our judges Roger Carr, Jim McGeehan,Norma Phillips, David Herring and John Mason did a great job and I think they all enjoyed themselves.
Brian Batey took over as show secretary and he did a marvellous job. It must have been a frightening thought to take on this challenge of an Area Show but Brian came through with flying colours. Many thanks must go to Brian for all his hard work and also to the many helpers who came along and made it a very successful show.Don Rowell became joint show manager with Vince Scott and he seemed to blend very nicely into the job.(Club show next?)
Margaret Bowman came along to look after the catering and we thought she had retired! Anne Cairns and Miriam Scott put a super lunch on for the judges.
