Mr Ken Barnes NCBA 3 A Side President 2008

Dear Friends And Fellow Bowlers,

I am pleased to have been elected as your president for the year 2008. I wish to express my thanks to my club Seaton Burn for putting my name forward, and for the good wishes I have received from my fellow bowlers.

If I can achieve just a little success that my predecessor Barry, has enjoyed during his term as President, then I will be delighted.

Our sport is regarded as that for the older generation, on the contrary, many of the international and county champions are younger bowlers. I would ask that you try to encourage at least one of your non-bowling friends to take up our noble game.

Most clubs are suffering from a shortage of members and, unless we take some action to alleviate the situation, we well find ourselves in severe difficulties in the not to distant future.

I take this opportunity to wish all my fellow bowlers good fortune be it in individual or team competitions, indoor or outdoor, every success for the coming season.

Good luck to all entrants in the individual competitions and it is hoped that this year one of our teams will be successful in qualifying for Skegness
