 Members are residents in the southern neighbourhoods of Shildon, County Durham, who support what the Association is trying to do.

 | Local people discuss issues at an Association exhibition
The Association enables the local community to play an effective part in improving the quality of life in New Shildon.

 | Traffic management is an issue we are tackling
~~ Local issues are discussed at meetings and actions decided.
~~ The Association has a number of projects of its own and is involved in other improvements and plans for Shildon.
~~ Members represent the community's interests on many local groups and organisations

 | Designing the 'Community Arcade' at an Association public meeting
A major project sponsored by the Residents Association is THE "COMMUNITY ARCADE", a building project of community, health and enterprise facilities with the aim of putting the heart back into New Shildon.

 | Consultant Nic Pearce discusses an issue with our treasurer
Meetings are normally held in the Salvation Army Centre in Cross Street on the second Thursday of the month at 6.30 p.m.

Become a member of New Shildon Residents Association.
We need to make sure the community's voice is not only heard but also acted upon. As our membership grows, so does our influence.
