Northallerton Handbell Ringers

We are a small group of enthusiasts from the Northallerton area of North Yorkshire. We welcome new members, anyone who is keen to get involved, male or female, young or more mature. We meet in Northallerton every Tuesday evening between 7.00p.m. and 9.00p.m. to practise.

What type of music do we play?

We play anything from Handel's "Music for the Royal Fireworks" to "Rock Around the Clock". You do not even have to be able to read music to join us. We play by number notation, so if you can count up to six you can play tunes on handbells with us. We play at all kinds of different venues, including WI meetings, garden fetes, weddings and Christmas celebrations. We play because we enjoy it and we raise money for local charities at the same time. Over the years we've supported Macmillan nurses, the Friarage Hospital, St. Teresa's Hospice and Herriot Hospice Homecare.
