2007 Junior Football Tournament

Norton & Stockton Ancients JFC hosted their 7th junior football tournament on Sunday 22 July.
Around 7000 visitors converged on Norton from all over the country to compete in the biggest one day 7-a-side FA sanctioned football tournament in the North of England.
With 168 junior teams ranging from Under 8 to U12 boys and U12, 13 and 14 girl age groups, it was a very long and busy day for all involved and a great conclusion to 6 months planning. Even the wet weather couldn’t dampen everyone’s spirit and it was fantastic that teams travelled in far from ideal conditions from as far afield as Liverpool, Blyth, Cumbria, Hull, Chesterfield, Lincoln and Scarborough to play some fantastic junior football.
Results were:
Under 8: Felling Magpies 2 v Marton Hall Drive 3 (penalties)
Under 9: Monkton Athletic 2 v Leam Rangers 0
Under 10: Marton FC 0 v Leven AFC 2
Under 11: Billingham Town 1 v Redcar Town B 2
Under 12: Teesside Allstars 1 v Glapwell Colliery 3
Under 12G: Middlesbrough Girls 0 v California Girls 2
Under 13G: Chester Athletic Hays 2 v Middlesbrough Girls 0
Under 14G: Middlesbrough Girls 2 v California Girls 0
Congratulations and many thanks to all the teams, supporters, referees and volunteers involved!
