Horizons Stockton Families Information Zone Age Concern and Help the aged merge University of the third Age - U3A The Citizens Advice service Volunteering opportunity Stay and Play Toddlers group Message Board Guestbook Mail Form Working with Families PLANT is currently recruiting and training volunteers in conjunction with Home-Start, http://www.home-start.org.uk Volunteers work on a one to one basis with families in the Stockton area offering practical help and support.The trained volunteers are assigned to families referred by local Health Visitors, etc.PLANT has already financially supported Home-start to train 18 volunteers. Further Funding for subsequent training courses is being sought, as well as funding to hold family support groups Home Start Do you like shopping? PLANT is looking for volunteers to work with people who need a little bit of help getting around. We are looking for people who could spare a couple of hours a week to go shopping.Some of the more mature folk in our area find it very difficult to go shopping on their own. Pushing a shopping trolley around the supermarket and packing bags is a task some people can no longer manage on their own.
