North Tees Primary Care PPI Forum
North Tees Primary Care PPI Forum was set up in December 2003. The Forum currently consists of seven people who bring their own experiences and issues to the forum for discussion.
Many of the Forums meetings are held in public and these are advertised via a press release up to seven days prior to the meeting, in the Evening Gazette newspaper. You can also check the dates of the Public meetings on the Events Calendar on this website.
The Forum commissioned the Stockton International Family Centre to research the mental health of their users due to translation issues when attending appointments at Primary Care services. The Forum has perform monitoring and audit visits to surgeries in the North Tees area. Consultations are also considered to be a high priority of the Forum, e.g. responding to the Acute Services Review consultation, PCT reconfiguration consultation and the Healthcare Commissions Annual Health Check.
The Annual Report for 2005/6 is available on the KMS via the Commissions website (see link page) or alternatively you can contact the office (see front page) to obtain a hard copy of the report. The Annual Report includes the work plan for 2006/7.
For further details of the work of the forums, to become a new forum member or to simply wish for an issue to be discussed at the next forum meeting, please add your details to the Guest Book on this website or contact Age Concern on the contact numbers shown on our main page.
