Hambleton & Richmonshire Patient & Public Forum
Hambleton & Richmonshire PPI Forum was set up in December 2003. The Forum currently consists of seven people who bring their own experiences and issues to the forum for discussion.
The Forum has been involved in consultations e.g. the PCT, SHA and Ambulance Trust reconfigurations, commenced a programme of visits to Health Centres and GP Surgeries, and ensured inmates of the Young Offenders Institute in Northallerton who require a filing receive a permanent fixture rather than a temporary filing. Members of the Forum sit on many differing groups to ensure that patients views are heard by both those in the community and the decision makers. The Forum often meets in public and these are advertised via local media. You can also check the dates of the public meetings on the Events Calender on this website.
The Forums Annual Report 2005/6, which includes their work plan for 2006/7, has now been published and is available on the KMS via the CPPIH website (see links page). Alternatively you can contact the office for a hard copy.
For further details of the work of the forums, to become a new forum member or to simply wish for an issue to be discussed at the next forum meeting, please add your details to the Guest Book on this website or contact the Forum Support Organisation, Age Concern, on the contact numbers shown on our main page.
