RADIO Skerne has produced and printed a large quantity of leaflets to explain how patients can listen to our service on the newly installed Patientline bedside entertainment service.
The booklet will soon be circulated around all of the wards at Darlington Memorial Hospital.
It has been produced in-house by one of our members, John Forbes, who has worked in the field of journalism.
Special thanks must also be paid to The Northern Echo who have sponsored the leaflet - covering the printing costs of the booklet.
Radio Skerne has been broadcasting on the Patientline bedside entertainment system for a number of months, but many patients are unsure of how to listen to the station on the bedside units.
Darlington Hospital Radio can be found broadcasting on 'Radio Channel 1' on the Patientline consoles.
Our service is only available to patients who have registered their bedside unit.
Registration is a simple process but we generally feel that many people are afraid to use the new system.
The leaflet will hopefully encourage people to register their unit and listen to our station.
Patienline advisors have a duty to help anyone who is unsure how to use the system, but the new leaflets will give the best advice on how patients can tune in to Radio Skerne.
The station would like to thank all those involved with this project, from the designer to the negotiators - they know who they are! |
