 Heinrich Böhl Gymnasium (Grammar School) has also had exchanges with Redcar & Cleveland from the beginning of the twinning link. Exchanges also feature language and work-experience groups. It was the German base for a four-nation student exchange that brought together students from Germany, Belarussia, Lithuania and East Cleveland.

Prior Pursglove College
 Prior Pursglove College has been an active supporter of the Twinning link since its inception in 1990.
Each year the College takes a party of its own students to Troisdorf in the spring and hosts a group of German students in the summer. Places are usually available to students from other schools and colleges in the area. Special facilities can often be arranged for students with disabilities.
