Alistair Anderson brought along 11 of the final year students from the Folk Music Degree course at Newcastle University for a great night’s entertainment and a chance to hear some of the future stars of the folk scene.

Vin Garbutt - A hilarious evening of music and wit, with some genuinely thought provoking songs. The most popular concert yet, with some hopefuls still ringing for tickets on the Friday afternoon, proving that Vin’s reputation as "the biggest draw on the British Folk Scene" is far from undeserved.

Excellent support was by Katy Doherty and Callum, on voice keyboard and flute.

Bernard Carney. One of Australia's top folk singers, Bernard has performed with Gene Pitney, Foster and Allen, Ralph McTell and Richard Thompson. He opened Stephane Grapelli’s final concert at the Perth Concert Hall.
