VOLUNTEERS - SERVING THE WHOLE OF RICHMONDSHIRE

We are one of a national network of volunteer centres, recruiting, placing and supporting volunteers in our local community.

Our aim is to try and match your skills and interests to voluntary work.

We can provide you with information about local voluntary groups and organisations.., or even contact them on your behalf.
Volunteers can act as befrienders to housebound people, offering companionship or running errands.
You may be interested in helping with the volunteer car scheme as an occasional driver.., getting people to and from hospital, etc.
Volunteers give their time free but may be able to claim expenses. Volunteer drivers are paid mileage which helps pay for their vehicle and fuel expenses.

We always welcomes new volunteers. Register with us and let us see if we can match your skills and interests to voluntary work. Volunteering work can be added to your CV and help develop your skills, etc.

A little of your free time could make all the difference to local groups, charities and organisations.

Volunteer opportunities currently exist for:
drivers, befrienders, clerical and administrative assistants, shop and local museum staff....but the list is constantly changing and goes on and on!
