Bible Readings this Sunday
One of the great advances made by the Churches in recent years is their agreement on how to read the Bible Sunday by Sunday.
Most mainline Churches now use the Revised Common Lectionary, providing three readings from the Bible each Sunday - with a special focus on the Gospel. This year we are following the Gospel of Luke in particular.
Click on the link below to access a Canadian web-site which gives you a commentary on each of the readings. From the bottom of that page, click on the "Readings" button to find the readings themselves. They're pretty much the same as those we use in St. Cuthbert's - and in churches of different traditions in different countries round the world.
So read them and meditate upon them - and remember that millions of Christians throughout the world are doing just the same, reading and hearing those same readings of God's love for the world.
