Michael McElvaney suggested that I include maps which I think is a good idea. |

6. Aerial Photo One
 | South Bank from the TRTB end
Photo from Keith Craddy.
My friend Keith Craddy acquired three huge aerial photographs of South Bank which he intends to frame and put on his wall. However he has lent them to me to put on the site but they are so big that it's going to take a while to sort out. Also, later when I have all three photos sorted you will be able to "click for a bigger picture" to make it easier to spot your house!
Unfortunately we don't know who took them the photos nor do we know the date they were taken - but there are several clues...
The old part of South Bank has gone but the football field and club are still there. The Sporty is no more but the Oakleaf is still prominent. And Redcar Road, Queen Street and Aire Street are still intact. I hope someone good with dates will pinpoint the date for us.
It really brings home the destruction of the place by THE COUNCIL. |

10. Satellite Pic
 | South Bank as viewed from a satellite!
What is interesting about this photograph is the traces of old buildings outlined in the grassy areas. Call for Time Team!! |
