Ex Upper Princess Street Ricky turned up at the reunion, minus his wife, and took a few photos which he sent in with an email.

2. Mrs Hendry

Ricky with Mrs Hendry

Hi Sir Dick, I thought you might like to use this photo. I tracked down Mrs Hendry, my school teacher at Princess St School in 1952 (see the school photo on the Princess St section). She was always a favourite of mine in the short time she taught at the school and I managed to find her son, (through the Slaggy site) and eventually had the pleasure of meeting her and her son David on the 31st Aug 2005 at the Blue Bell Hotel. Mrs Hendry is a lovely energetic lady still with her memories of that particular class, mentioning names - John Richardson, Roy Cox, Cliffy Wray, Jackie Longster, Rosie Prest and many more. A remarkable lady, she still drives her car and lives with her husband in South Bank.
I mentioned the reunion at the Normanby to her and she said she would be along so I would like as many of her ex-pupils along for the night, so move it you Slaggy Islanders and get yourselves there..Thanks, Sir Dick ..........Rick Wilkinson.
