1. Marlene (Chard) and
 | Marlene and her husband ?
Early in July (2006) Marlene (Chard) came over from Canada to visit her sister Jean Chapman and Jean put on a small reunion at Parklands (the old Smiths Docks Club) so that Marlene could meet her old friends and neighbours. To that end here are some photographs from that night.
This was the second such reunion as Jean had staged another one for Marlene a couple of years ago but the photos are somewhere else on the site. Later I'll move them onto this page.

2. Basher Briggs
 | Brian Briggs (ex South Terrace) gets extra work at Christmas!
Brian followed in his father's footsteps and is a councillor for the Skelton Ward. It's well known what I think of councillors but Brian has always been a nice bloke and, God knows, we need decent people on the council. The trouble is they tend to be out numbered by idiots with forceful mouths and no common sense. |
