Northern League Champions

Northern League Champions 1919-1920

South Bank and England

This Picture was taken before an England v Northern Ireland International. Wilf Mannion and George Hardwick made their debuts in this match and South Banks Favourite Son Wilf Mannion scored a Hat Trick in a 7-2 rout. Also this picture hangs proudly in the St Peters Social Club to this date.

Normanby Road

This was our stadium this ground held a record 8500 and was home to many great memories for both South Bank AFC but all the local sides who competed for the prestigious annual Ellis Cup. Recently I met the last player to score in the Ellis cup final on this ground Andy "Tinky" Myers scored the winner for No 1 Amalgamated in 1992.
