Club Nights
 South Shields Movie Makers was established in 1959.
We are a group of dedicated video makers who meet most Thursdays (see syllabus) starting at 7.30pm prompt. We have a good variety of Speakers, Judges & 'In-house' evenings to satisfy everyone.
We have members who come from all areas of the North East, including several professional video makers.
We are known as one of the friendliest Clubs and aim to help anyone with an interest in video. From the raw beginner to the aspiring Spielberg, there will be something of interest in our well planned programme of events.
There are practical nights when beginners can be paired up with a more experienced member to learn about video; competitions to bring out the best ideas; talks by media professionals and video making evenings where we script a story and then record it on video. Our members spend their summer break making short videos to show during the season and will be particularly keen to see their efforts in front of an audience. The experience gained in covering these events means that there is a greater understanding of video making for all concerned.
We have a good social atmosphere and everyone is welcome
