Services and Church Activities in July

Normally we have a picture from our benefice above the calendar text but this month to celebrate the patronal festival of Melsonby church at the end of the month (25 July the Feast of St James) we have taken this representation of St James in stained glass from Melsonby church. The cockle shells - his 'logo' - are scattered over his robe and he has his pilgrim's staff with a bundle of goods for the journey attached to it, in his hand.
