Admission of Children to
Communion before Confirmation


Children preparing for admission to
communion before confirmation will
be baptised
be normally aged 7 or 8
be carefully prepared by clergy and
others,
have attended church for at least six
months,
usually have at least one parent or
sponsor who is a regular communicant at
the church,
have opportunity to grow in their
understanding of the sacrament of
communion
be encouraged to be confirmed at an
appropriate time.

Confirmation.

The first five children to receive Communion before Confirmation

Bronwyn, Liam, Robert, Linda and Francesca received communion for the first time on Sunday October 22nd 2006

Prepared to receive Communion in October 2007

Lucy, Ashleigh and Sarah received Communion for the first time at St. James Church, Burnopfield on Sunday October 21st 2007.
