Stokesley League AGM - June 16, 2008
At this years meeting, with just four clubs in attendance that wished to continue, it was agreed that the league could not function in a meaningful way next season.
Those clubs that still wished to play were therefore free to seek fixtures in other leagues.
However, the management structure is still in place and it is hoped that in the short term, it way be possible to run a knock out competition at the end of next season along the lines of the Jefferson Cup.
In the long term, the league management continues to hope that a demand for Saturday football will revive and that it will be able to function as a league at some point in the future.
In the meantime, the league would like to thank all the clubs that have been members of the Stokesley League and wish them every success in the future.
