The Restoration Appeal
St. Paul's Church has for more than 75 years played a large part in the history of the area. The current building may not be one of the oldest in the area, but it carries an important place in history, as so much of history has actually taken place there.
Our history is important not only to us, but to the future generations and we believe that it is important to maintain St. Paul's for them.
Generations have worshipped at St. Paul's: many of you also may have prayed, celebrated or mourned there and many have plenty of reasons to be thankful for a local church. But in today's cut-and- thrust business world people do not seem to matter any more. We matter. We matter to God, and as a house of God St. Paul's has a responsibility to the community it serves.
So as we progress into the Twenty First Century we need to look again at what St. Paul's can offer to that community.

Where do we begin?
There is a lot of work to be done on the church, some large jobs some quite small, but all are important if we are to have a church to be proud of.
We need to put the structure in order before we can start on the more exciting part of refurbishing the interior.
The work will be carried out in three phases:
Phase 1 -
Replacement of vestry roof, treatment and replacement of rotten timbers. Replacement of main roof to Main Aisle and Choir, including guttering.
Replacement of lower roof to side Aisle,Chapel and rear.
Re-design and re-roof Baptistery Interior decoration of main church.
Phase 2 -
Disabled Access- to comply with new Disability act
Repairs to Seymour Chapel.
Security measures.
Improved heating !!
Redecoration of church hall.
Changes to lighting.
General repairs and redecoration.
Phase 3 -
Relaying floor and carpeting.
Butress West End.
Butress North East corner.
Structural work to Hall.
Structural work to Clergy Vestry.

The story so far...
Thanks to the generosity of the congregation phase 1 is complete and we are well on the way with phase 2.
Phase 3 is still to come....
...so the fund raising still continues.
