Concert booking details
Tickets: Unless stated otherwise, tickets are £10 including 'concessions'.
Postal Bookings: Write to Concert bookings, 1 Sir William Turner's Court, Kirkleatham, Redcar, TS10 4QT. enclosing a cheque payable to Sir William Turner's Hospital.
Credit cards - call 01642 477200, Monday to Saturday, M 9 a.m.-5 p.m. There is an administration charge of £1.50 per order (not per ticket) to cover credit card commission and postage. The 'ticket agency' is a local business owner who does us a great favour by providing this service. Please direct all queries about the concerts themselves to the Almshouses' office - 01642 482828.
Tickets may be collected from Garry.biz, the computer shop in the main square at Marske-by-the-Sea. Pay in cash or by cheque (payable to Sir William Turner's Hospital). There is a £1 admin charge per order for pick-up tickets charged to a credit or debit card.
Pay at the door: Ring 01642 482828 at any time and leave a message with your name, phone number and requirements to book tickets to be paid for at the door.
Seats: All seats are unreserved. Doors open 30 minutes before the performance, usually at 7.00 p.m. for a 7.30 p.m. start.
Disabled access: Wheelchair users are welcome and are asked to call 01642 482828 to reserve a wheelchair space and adjacent seats for escorts. All changes of level are ramped and there is level access throughout the building and from the car park to the auditorium.
Parking: There is adequate parking in the car park of the adjacent Almshouse Gardens and the courtyard in front of the building. Patrons are advised against parking on the road-side as it is a bus route. The No.81/781 Arriva bus service stops outside the main gates.

Five finalists feature in June concert

The five finalists in the highly regarded Stockton Young Musicians' Competition are to feature in a special concert in June. The concert is to celebrate the 300th anniversary of Sir William Turner's School.
'We are delighted to have this opportunity to feature five of the region's most acclaimed young musicians,' said Peter Sotheran, organiser of the Classics at Kirkleatham concerts.
Jeremy Evans, cello was the ultimate winner of the competition held in Stockton earlier this year. Jeremy is 17, has studied the cello for 8 years and is a member of the Tees Valley Youth Orchestra (TVYO) and Young Symphonia (YS), a string quartet and a piano trio.
Thomas Quinn, tuba, the runner up is studying philosophy, ethics, English literature and music and plans to study philosophy at university. He has been playing the tuba for six years and also plays trombone and classical guitar.
Naomi Mace, bassoon took up the instrument at 11, reached Grade 8 at the age of 13 and achieved her ABRSM Performance Diploma at 16. She has played with the National Children’s Orchestra and currently plays with the TVYO and YS.
Azusa Tanner, piano has studied the piano from the age of 5 with Svetlana Hunt and has had many successes in local and regional competitions. She also studies the violin with Morag Cooper and plays with the TVYO.
Claire Tunney, soprano recently passed Grade 8 with Distinction and sings with the Tees Valley Youth Choir. When not singing and studying Clare gives her time to the St. John Ambulance Brigade.
The programme includes music by Schumann, Beethoven, Saint Saens, Tansman, Vinter, Grovlez, Bach, Mozart, Chopin and Rogers & Hammerstein.

Tampalini returns to Kirkleatham
Italian guitarist Giulio Tampalini returns in July. Always much appreciated by the East Cleveland audience, this, his fourth visit, makes a fitting climax to the 10th anniversary series of Classics at Kirkleatham.
His performance of Tarrega's Recuerdos del Alahambra completely captivated the audience on his earlier visit. The programme this time is expected to include music by Brouwer, Roderigo and of course Tarrega. Full details will appear here shortly.
