Open Days Information

Open Days 2008 are:

Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th May 2008
Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th June 2008
Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th September 2008
Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th October 2008

Opening hours on steaming dates are 11am till 5pm.

Admission charges are:
Adults- £4.00
OAPs and children (aged 5 to 15)- £2.00

Tees Cottage Pumping Station is maintained and opened entirely by volunteers. All money taken in admission charges is used to ensure Tees Cottage Pumping Station's continued existence and to allow you, the public, to experience this magnificent piece of our heritage. Unfortunately, due to rising costs, of fuel in particular, we had to increase our admission prices in 2006.

Schools and special interest groups can book private static non-steaming visits by prior arrangement, please email by using the Mail Form (see Contents list) for details and charges.

Autumn Gala Weekend

Each October Open Weekend Tees Cottage holds its Autumn Gala Weekend. In addition to our usual attractions we invite stationary engines, traction engines, vintage vehicles and craft demonstrations to our site. If you are interested in exhibiting at our Gala please make contact via the Mail Form (see Contents list) to receive an Entry Form.

The Frank Woodall Models

We hope to run our collection of the late Frank Woodall's steam models every Open Day. Frank Woodall's models are representations of industrial steam engines.
