CDs and Cassettes

In recent years the choir has made a number of recordings and as a result has a selection of CDs and cassettes on sale. They cover all tastes of music varying from traditional male voice numbers to songs from the shows and include many items from the Apollo's popular solists. They are available at any of the choir's concerts or from any choir member. Alternatively they can be ordered from Brian Nugent on tel. 01642 466938 or e-mail cabri@tinyworld.co.uk
We are constantly being asked when the choir's next CD will be on sale. It should be recognised that this is a quite a costly and time consuming exercise. Written copyright approval must be obtained for all Gwyn Morris arrangements and blanket approval by the Mechanical Copyright Society is necessary for all numbers before recording can begin. Along with recording time and CD/Cassete production the whole exercise can stretch to six months and hence the three to four year gap between recordings. At the present time, therefore, there are no immediate plans to undertake a new recording.
It was suggested, however, that a compilation CD of numbers from all of our previous recordings would be a good idea. This has now been realised and the new (double) CD, produced to coincide with Gwyn's 50th anniversary as the choir's director, is presently on sale @ £8.
All other CDs remain @£5 each and cassettes @ £4 each.
