Teesside Football League

The Teesside League are sponsored by Jack Hatfields Sports who are a well known Sports Outfitters on Borough Road, Middlesbrough.

The League is a recognised Senior League as sanctioned and affillated to the North Riding County F.A.

The membership consists of 28 clubs for season 2008/2009. There are fourteen teams in each Division, Bedale were promoted as Second Division Champions, North Ormesby as runners-up and Darlington Cleveland Bridge who finished in third place were also promoted, six teams resigned from the League, Kirkbymoorside joined the Wearside League, Guisb Town Res and Whinney Banks also resigned from the first division, three teams resigned from the second division, Colburn Town, Darlington SRM and Spraire Lads, leaving five teams in the second division, seven teams were elected to join the league, Acklam Steelworks, Coulby Newham, Grangetown YCC 2004 and St Mary's College all joined from the Stokesley League, Redcar Rugby Club joined from the Eskvale/Cleveland League and two new teams Norton & Stockton Ancients Reserves and Scarborough Town all joined the second division.

All Clubs enter the Leagues MacMillan Bowl, those that are knocked out in the first or any earlier rounds enter the R T Raine Trophy.

A First Division knockout competition in memory of Lou Moore the late League President of the League, the Lou Moore Memorial Shield will be competed for by the First Division Clubs

The Second Division Clubs will also compete for the ALex Burness Plate.

All Club affilliated to the North Riding County FA enter the Saturday County Cup, and can enter the Saturday Senior Cup Second Division Clubs can also enter the Saturday Challenge Cup

Clubs affilliated to Durham County FA enter the Durham Saturday Trophy
