DIVISION ONE: K.O. 2.00PM
Richmond Mvrks 2, Kirkbymoorside 1
Richmond Mavericks entertained Division One runners up Kirkbymoorside in both sides last match of the season, in a tight first half hour neither side looked like they were going to break the deadlock but in the 34td minute Paul round with his 16th of the season gave Kirkbymoorside a 1-0 lead, a minute later the Mavericks were back on level terms when James Muir pulled it back to 1-1 with a tremendous shot and at half time it remained 1-1. The second half was again very tight until an incident in the 70th minute when a penalty was awarded and Muir with his second of the match and 9th of the season gave the Mavericks a 2-1 lead, the last twenty minutes resulted in the visitors being camped in the Mavericks half looking for an equaliser but failing and slipped to their forth defeat of the season.
DIVISION TWO: K. O. 2.00PM
Bedale FC 4, Coble Ennis Square 1
Bedale went into this match against Coble Ennis Square knowing a victory would give them full advantage over North Ormesby who were on the same number of points as Bedale, but Bedale had a more superior goal difference which would mean North Ormesby having to win by seven clear goals, plus any other that Bedale would score, on a very poor pitch, Bedale were quicker off the mark and both Adam Bramley and David Proud going close, in the 20th minute Bedale took the lead when a Johnny Sinclair floated free kick, with the wind behind the ball deceived the stand in Coble keeper and landed in the back of the net, fifteen minutes later a mistake by the Bedale keeper allowed Darren Mowbray the chance to head home the rebound to make it 1-1 which remained the half time score, five minutes into the second half Bedale retook the lead when David Proud broke through and made it 2-1 with his 6th of the season, ten minutes later Alex bell who had been a thorn in the visitors side during the game pounced to hold a firm grip on the 1st Division Trophy made it 3-1 and with ten minutes remaining Paul Orton secured the 4-1 victory to secure the 1st Division Trophy which was presented to the Club captain at the end of the match, a well deserved title and a good confidence booster for Bedale as they play Edgehill in the North Riding Challenge Cup Final at Stokesley on Monday evening, kick off 7.30PM.
Billingham Kader 2, Billingham Town Res 2
Billingham Kader entertained local rivals Billingham Town Reserves who in their first season back in the League have picked up from a poor start to reach the semi-finals of the Durham Trophy and pick up a number of good results against all the top teams, after twenty minutes Adebayo Babatunde gave the Kader a 1-0 lead, this remained the only goal of a very even tight first half, on the hour Babatunde with his second of the match and third of the season gave the Kader team a 2-0 lead, but ten minutes later a Nicky Farrell own goal brought the visitors back into the game at 2-1 and with seven minutes remaining Danny O’Brian with his 4th of the season made it 2-2 and despite pressure from both teams the match ended as a 2-2 draw.
South Bank St Peters 2, North Ormesby 2
South Bank St Peters who beat today’s visitors in the final of the Burness Plate on Monday evening, took a 7th minute lead to put a hold on North Ormesby’ s hopes of catching Bedale, Anthony Gregory scoring his 27th of the season, thirteen minutes later a second goal put a bigger dent in the visitors hopes of catch Bedale, Carl Agar scoring his 18th of the season, 2-0 remained the half time score, two minutes into the second half, Eddie Hebbron pulled it back to 2-1, the visitors pressed forward looking for at least an equaliser but were left exposed at the back, no further goals were forthcoming until the 87th minute when Hebbron with his second of the match and 31st of the season pulled it back to a final score of 2-2 and North Ormesby were later presented with the 2nd Division Runner-up Shield.
Teesside Ath 0, Darlington Cleveland 3
Redcar side Teesside Athletic entertained Darlington Cleveland bridge who have slipped down to forth in the table after a couple of poor results following their 1-0 defeat to Nunthorpe Athletic in the RT Raine Trophy, Teesside Athletic ninth in the table could move up the table with a victory, Cleveland Bridge would move back into 3rd place with a victory and they started of the brightest with a goal after only two minutes when Danny McLaughlin with his 28th of the season made it a narrow 1-0 lead, this remained the only goal of the first half, but a minutes before half time Scott Mallen with his 4th of the season gave the Cleveland Bridge a 2-0 lead going into the half time break, in the second half both team in their last match of the season played some end to end football but the Cleveland Bridge took a winning 3-0 lead when Dale Sheridan with his first for the club made it a final score of 3-0.
Whinney Banks YCC 8, Colburn Town 1
Whinney Banks who put ten goals past Billingham Kader on Wednesday evening, entertained Colburn Town playing their last match in the league after only one season, inn a tight first half the visitors shocked their opponents shocked their hosts by taking a 1-0 lead through a first of the season from Andy Reed just before half time, the second half started very even but three goals in three minutes reversed the home side deficit into a 3-1 lead when Peter Oldfield scored in the 56th minute, a minute later Danny Lockwood made it 2-1 and in the very next minute Jamie Colmer with his 4th of the season made it 3-1, the visitors heads went down and in the 63rd minute Oldfield made it 4-1, Lee Mahon with his 14th of the season made it 5-1, a second from Lockwood made it 6-1 in the 75th minute and Oldfield completed his hat trick in the 82nd minute before Lockwood completed his hat trick and the scoring in the 85th minute with his 24th since transferring from the first division side, where he had scored twenty five goals.

LOU MOORE TROPHY FINAL: K.O 7.30PM at BILLINGHAM TOWN
BEADS FC 0, Darlington Rugby Club 2
A tight first half where league Champions BEADS who had already done the double over opponents Darlington Rugby Club were on top but the Darlington side competed for every ball and went in hard in every tackle in the first half which resulted in a 0-0 half time score line, in the second half the game became a bit tetchy with tackles flying in, but thing calmed down and in the 67th minute Glen Sweeny with his 3rd of the season gave the Rugby Club a shock 1-0 lead, the league champions fought back but failed to create any clear cut chances and with four minutes remaining Stuart Hardy unleashed a shot from near the right hand side line which flew over BEADS keeper Robert Dean and flew into the top left hand corner of the net, BEADS had one last fling of the dice and pressed forward but their forward weren’t firing and Darlington Rugby Club were well worth their surprise 2-0 victory.
DIVISION TWO: K. O. 6.30PM
Billingham Kader 1, Whinney Banks YCC 10
Billingham Kader entertained Whinney Banks YCC who took a 3-0 lead with a goal from Danny Lockwood after five and ten minutes and one from Michael Shellard in the 15th minute, Kader fought back to make it 3-1 in the 24th minute through Chris Brown, but Shellard scored in the 33rd minute to make it 4-1 at the half time break, ten minutes into the second half Shellard completed his hat trick to make it 5-1, he scored his 4th of the match and 12th of the season on the hour to make it 6-1, Jamie Colmer made it 7-1 in the 65th minute and Lockwood completed his hat trick in the 70th minute and scored his 4th of the game and 23rd of the season five minutes before time before Justin Heward completed the scoring to make it 1—1 in the last minute.
MONDAY 21st APRIL 2008
BURNESS PLATE FINAL: K.O. 7.30PM at GUISBOROUGH TOWN FC
North Ormesby 0, South Bank St Peters 4
Second division title hopefuls North Ormesby met South Bank St Peters in this final, their earlier season match had resulted in a 1-1 draw, with a game on Saturday to look forward too, North Ormesby who started as favourites found themselves out played for the first half and fell behind to an Anthony Gregory strike after only twelve minutes, South Bank St Peters who were playing some fine attractive football were knocking the ball about effortlessly and took a 2-0 lead after twenty minutes through Glen Wesson, four minutes later their shell shocked opponents found themselves further behind when Anthony Reed made it 3-0 which remained the half time score, changes at half time by North Ormesby saw a more charged up side take the field, but despite plenty of pressure they could not pierce a determined South Bank St Peters defence and with eight minutes remaining Gregory with his second of the match and 26th of the season made it a final score of 4-0 and a very well deserved victory.
