New Electric Hybid buses in Newcastle
15th July 2011
Yesterday saw the first day in service of the new and evolutionary ADL Enviro E400 Hybrid buses in Newcastle.
Twenty of the new "green" buses are due in service in the next month.
They are painted in the Stagecoach Corporate livery but in the "green version", the interiors are also finished to a high grade in the "green" version of trim with matching ceiling panels and flooring
The buses are much quieter, smoother and less polluting than the conventional E400 models which they supplement in Newcastle
They are in use on services 39 and 40 on the cross city corridor
