The Discovery Centre Volunteers
 | The Discovery Centre Volunteers help to run The Discovery Centre by organising events and exhibitions in the Centre.
Volunteers
We recruit volunteers in the following areas at The Discovery Centre
Front of House Volunteers – Provide a friendly face for visitors to the Centre, and man the centre during opening hours, help to set up exhibitions, help with events and research when appropriate. Attend volunteers meetings, to aid the development of the Centre.
Research Volunteers – Initiate ideas for heritage exhibitions, research exhibitions for the centre, and attend volunteer meetings to aid the development of the Centre.
We also need volunteers to help with the marketing and promotion of the Centre, and to help with fundraising, and keeping our finances in order.
These descriptions are not exhaustive but give an idea of the kind of tasks people who wish to volunteer could undertake.
For more information about becoming a volunteer, contact Joanne Crumplin – on 01388 662666 or email joanne.crumplin@groundwork.org.uk.
