 | The Discovery Centre hold education worksshops from Roman Life to Rag Rugs and Victorian Investigation.
Local school children who took part in the Rag Rugging workshops have contributed to a large Rag Rug with a picture of the Bishops Palace entrance and the Viaduct. The Rag Rug will be pictured below soon and, once finished, be placed in the new Discovery Centre.

Victorian Investigation Workshops
Local school have taken part in a Victorian Investigation Workshops, the children searched the 1891 census to discover who live in North Bondgate and what type of job's they had. In the picture we have ST. Chad's who came dress as victorians. |
Rag Rugs
Heather Ritchie kindly held a exhibition of her collection of Rag Rugs also known as Proggy, Clippy and Hooky mats.
Over the last 30 years Heather has developed and refined Rag Rug making skills to the highest standard. She now travels widely running workshops and is internationally recognised for her skills.
Local school children have help with making a large Rag Rug to display in the centre.
