THE DOLPHIN OF TO A FLIER!!!!!

The season started of with a pre-season cup competition over at south bank.It didnt go as planned as the dolphin fell behind quickly in all of the games,but managed to claw there way back into the games with some good passing interchanges and agression,only to be let down by POOR referees.We had chances and scored some great goals,and the quality of football was there at times for all to see.HOW WILL WE FAIR IN THE LEAGUE??.............................The 2006/2007 league got of to a flier with an enphatic 7-0 win over the FIGHTING COCKS a total one sided game in which the dolphin never looked threatend at all....A week after saw the dolphin go away to REDHILL F.C things could have been different early on when the dolphin nearly went behind,The dolphin then aplied pressure and were rewarded,but only after some fine saves from the redhill keeper.The game could have been another clean sheet but a freak shot saw redhill score a consolation goal,ending the game 4-1....The first game in the durham cup saw the dolphin with a home game against STANLEY THE HILL TOP an edgy first 20 mins for both sides,but it was the dolphin who broke the deadlock,and after that never looked threatend.a great save from the penalty spot for the dolphin keeper,made sure that the dolphin kept another clean sheet and cruised to a respectable 4-0 win....The next league match was an away game to EAGLESCLIFFE THE EAGLE a tough game on paper as the eagle were the runners up to the dolphin,and both gained promotion from the 3rd division,The eagle started of the brighter of the teams and were rewarded early on when an awkward free kick was parried away only for the eagle striker to pounse,edging the eagle ahead 1-0 the dolphin pressed and got back into the game with an unstopable free kick from wayne simpson,1-1 it was.the eagle went back ahead when there striker was judged to be brought down in the box,and a penalty kick was convertd 2-1 the eagle,harsh words from all the dolphin lads at half time saw a overwhelming display of football,the dolphin were out of the blocks to quick for the eagle,and soon drew 2-2 when jamie walsh converted a penalty sending the eagle keeper the wrong way.the dolphin pressed and probed the eagle and were rewarded when manager freddy brought on substitutes porky and shaun,who total dominated posession for the dolphin,and it was shaun who scored the winner and sealed a great away win 3-2 to the dolphin it ended....
